The Islamic Society of Kandy International School remarked the Mil Adun Nabi Day in a grand scale,
associated with an array of lined up
Programs such as the Quiz competition, Calligraphy, Essay Competitions Recitals , Speeches and Kiraath.
The winners were awarded with a valuable certificate .Especially the Recital of Mawlood created a harmonious atmosphere to the entire school community on that day.The special sweets and a cooked meal of
a rice pack was distributed to each and everyone thus following a great sunnah of the beloved Prophet (SAW) proving the great act of sharing in unity. Another memorable day in our school calendar with immense success.

The Annual Prefect Installation of Kandy International School was held on the 30th of June at the American College Auditorium.
Mr Ananda Marasinghe, the Vice Principal of Trinity College graced the occassion as the Chief Guest and Mr Stefan de Run a Mentor for students as the Guest of Honor.
The Chief Guest delivered a very inspiring and meaningful speech where the students added value and meaning to their leadership conferred upon them at this event.

The Poson Programme at Kandy International School was held on the 12th of June, marked with a graceful procession of a Mihindu perehera by the students, followed by an inspiring and meaningful sermon. On June 5th, the students and staff of Kandy International School celebrated Environmental Day — a special occasion aimed at inspiring our children to care for and protect the environment.
We believe it is essential to educate young minds about the value of nature. Through meaningful activities, our students learned that even small actions can make a big difference for our planet.
To this end the children brought plants the Directress and the Principal planted them followed by the children cleaning the school environment and planting a variety of shrubs, trees and foliage.

The Annual Meelad Un Celebrations of Kandy International School was held on 19th September.
The entire student body participated at this event. Two Hazrats recited the Mowlood which was followed by a talk by Hazrat Azam. He emphasised that we should follow the lifestyle of Prophet Muhammad who was an embodiment of discipline. He advised the students about the value of Education and to respect Teachers and Parents.
Following this, The Muislm students presented Qaseedas; delivered speeches; held a quiz competition and dialogues.
The Islam Society headed by the Teacher Ms Sheima made arrangements to distribute rice parcels and dates to all students and Teachers.
Inclusivity of all religions are recognized at KIS. Vesak with Sil observation, Saraswathi Pooja, followed by celebrating Prophet Muhammad’s birthday and in December Christmas Celebrations will be held.
All faiths are given equal opportunities where every student participates.
Our main aim in organizing such events is for students to experience the Religious rituals of the religions practiced in Sri Lanka; thus providing them with a multi religious and multi-cultural exposure

The 7th Interact Installation of the Interact Club of Kandy International School was held on 23rd October 2024. The President of the Rotary Club of Kandy Rtn. Paul Harris Fellow Deshamanya Avanthie Karunaratne, Assistant District Interact Chairperson Youth Service Director and the President-Elect of the Rotary Club of Kandy Paul Harris Fellow Captain Ravindra Tammita, Rotary Advisor Rtn. Pumudu Amerasinghe and the Secretary of the Kandy Zone and District Director for Kandy International School Int. Seniya Rajugamuwa graced the occasion.
This event was held at the American College Auditorium and the Executive Committee with the Board of Directors were inducted.
Interactors from many schools in the Kandy Zone represented with their Staff Advisors.
The interactors past and present worked tirelessly towards the perfection of this event.

Prefects Induction ceremony of Kandy International School is one of the prestigious ceremonies of the school ‘s year calendar. Year 2024/2025 Induction was grandly held at the American College- Auditorium Kandy on June 12 th. The chief guest was a renowned Mentor Mr Asitha Wickramarachchi whose valuable presence added insight and inspiration.
